Engineered Flooring

Engineered wood floors have a top layer of solid wood. This means they are as susceptible to scratches, markings, dents, scrapes and everyday wear and tear as solid wood floors. On average, engineered wood floors last around 30 years. Thinner engineered wood floors with a top layer 1 to 2 millimeters thick last 20 to 30 years, while thicker floors with a top layer greater than 6 millimeters thick withstand use for up to 40 years.
